Terra Nova
We picked the name Terra Nova because we wanted to represent a space that is both deeply grounding and yet inspiring and mystical. In very few other places can you sit on a boulder created millions of years ago and gaze at the billions of stars surrounding us on this little speck of dust. When you’re at Terra Nova you feel like you’re exactly where you should be while dreaming of the life you have yet to explore.
Terra Nova is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom custom-built home situated on 5 acres of lush desert. Constructed in 1986, and completely redesigned in 2021, every inch of this modern retreat has been thoughtfully renovated to bring the outdoors in.

Terra Nova has a 30 amp Tesla Car Charger available free of charge to all guests staying on-site. Depending on model of Tesla, guests can expect between 17 - 22 charged miles per hour.

The pool can be heated for an additional cost of $50 per night, during the winter season (Oct-Mar). Please let us know at least 3 days before check-in if you would like us to heat the pool for you.

Our pool cleaner comes every week on Monday mornings between 8-11am. They're usually in and out in about 15 minutes and most guests never notice they're there.

We love pets, but unfortunately none are allowed at Terra Nova. We back up to open wash land that has wild coyotes and snakes. We don’t want any pets to get hurt or run off during your stay. That said, Terra Vieja, our sister property located in downtown Joshua Tree is dog friendly! If you’d like to travel to the area with your pup, please take a look at that space as it is much better suited for furry guests.

We do not provide firewood on-site. If planning to make a fire, we recommend guests pick up fire wood up at Hero Market (5 min from Terra Nova) before arriving

The house is gorgeous and beautifully appointed - you feel like you're in an Architectural Digest spread, but it still feels like home. Everything is high quality and well-maintained. The grounds are sprawling and there are so many little areas to explore and spend time in. We spent most of our time just hanging in the house because it's so great, but we were still able to travel to nearby Pioneertown to enjoy a little nightlife. Great location. Don't hesitate! This stunner is unforgettable."
